Cranial Base Changes After Trans-sutural Distraction Osteogenesis in Growing Patients With Cleft Lip/Palate and Midface Hypoplasia
After the TSDO procedure, the cranial base length and angles approached normal dimensions, accompanied by the forward advancement of the midfacial skeleton. Among the cranial base structures, TSDO resulted in the most noticeable increase in the sphenoid bone in terms of linear measurements and angles, thus promoting midfacial development in children.
