EFICÁCIA DO TAPING LINFÁTICO E DA DRENAGEM LINFÁTICA MANUAL NO PÓS-OPERATÓRIO DE LIPOABDOMINOPLASTIA ABDOMINAL

Objective: To describe lymphatic taping and lymphatic drainage techniques and identify their effectiveness for postoperative treatment of lipoabdominoplasty. Methods: This is a systematic literature review (SLR) based on the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). The search was performed in the PubMed, PEDro, LILACS and Google Scholar databases, using the following descriptors: “lipoabdominoplasty”, “abdominoplasty”, “body contouring”, “postoperative taping”, “manual lymphatic drainage”, “lipectomy”, “dermolipectomy” – in Portuguese, English and Spanish, with no restriction on the year of publication. Results: The 8 study articles conducted on the use of lymphatic techniques in the postoperative period of plastic surgery reveal the importance of using manual lymphatic drainage and lymphatic tapping in the postoperative period of lipoabdominoplasty. Conclusion: It was possible to conclude that Dermato-Functional physiotherapy is an excellent choice of intervention in the postoperative period of dermolipectomy, with the use of lymph tapping and manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) it is possible to accelerate the patient’s recovery process and return him/her to his/her social life with quality of life.
