INTELIGÊNCIA COMPETITIVA E INTERNACIONALIZAÇÃO: ESTRATÉGIAS PARA EMPRESAS EM EXPANSÃO
Internationalization, defined by the expansion of companies beyond national borders through products, services or investments, emerges as an essential element for corporations in response to a unified and highly competitive global market environment. This study aims to explore the dynamics of business internationalization, highlighting the main driving forces, obstacles and tactics linked to this phenomenon. Adopting a qualitative and descriptive approach, the research is based on a comprehensive literature review. The study reveals several perspectives — economic, behavioral and cultural — that shape the motives and methods adopted by companies in their international expansion journey, in addition to examining various internationalization strategies, including exporting, licensing and the creation of subsidiaries abroad. Generally, companies seek internationalization to capitalize on their competitive advantages, increase revenues or reduce expenses. However, insufficient knowledge about international markets and the challenges inherent in the internationalization process can represent significant barriers to global expansion. The conclusion highlights that, faced with the challenges and opportunities of global trade, internationalization emerges as a vital strategy for companies to seek greater competitiveness in the contemporary global economic scenario.
