RESPONSABILIDADE CIVIL DECORRENTE DE VIOLÊNCIA DOMÉSTICA

This article addresses civil liability in the context of domestic violence, examining the compensation measures available to victims and the accountability of aggressors in Brazil. The objective is to investigate the legal mechanisms of protection and compensation for victims in civil law, identifying gaps in legislation and proposing improvements to strengthen protection. The method used includes bibliographical research and deductive legal analysis. The conclusions indicate that, despite advances with the Maria da Penha Law, challenges such as underreporting, judicial delays, and cultural barriers still limit the effectiveness of civil liability. The research suggests that expanding support networks and promoting cultural change are key to ensuring compensation for victims.
