Real-time IoT-based Motorcycle Accident Detection and Alert System

Improvement of motorcycle accident detection and response systems is necessary, and you need to stop attending to catch up on the current trend of accidents in the Philippines.According to the report, the traditional methods are time-consuming because people report accidents manually. This study presents the real-time IoT-based motorcycle accident detection and alert system, which was developed using IoT technology with automated detection and alerts. It incorporates an MPU6050 accelerometer, gyroscope, GPS, and ESP32 TTGO T-Call for communication. This system first uses sudden change analysis to detect the spike and approve the accident. It was observed through extensive testing where the detection accuracy was 95.8% and false favorable time was 3.2%, with the highest dispatch time average of 4.5 seconds. The system sends a message to the contacts with information on the exact place of the accident. It is significantly effective in elevating motorcycle emergency response.

Abstract
