Carbonic anhydrase inhibitor alleviates retinal barrier toxicity in paclitaxel-induced retinopathy and macular edema by inhibiting CAXIV
PTX-induced macular edema is mainly due to Müller cell toxicity. The condition can be alleviated by regulating water channels and enhancing subretinal fluid absorption. Thus, CAI may provide a new therapeutic approach for PTX-induced macular edema.
