Real-Time Distribution Network Topology Identification Algorithm Based on FPGA
The accurate, real-time identification of distribution network topology is of critical importance to the stability and efficiency of modern power systems, particularly in light of the integration of renewable energy sources. The traditional methods that are based on pre-annotated data and manual processes are inadequate for real-time applications due to their slow processing times and inability to adapt to dynamic changes. This paper presents a novel algorithm that leverages Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) to overcome the aforementioned limitations. By employing advanced data classification and optimization techniques, the FPGA-based implementation offers considerable improvements in processing speed and accuracy. Experimental evaluations on standard distribution systems have demonstrated superior performance in real-time topology identification compared to traditional methods. This innovative solution provides the basis for managing the safe and stable operation of modern power systems, ensuring power supply reliability and enhancing emergency response capabilities.
