Research on the Optimization Scheme of Under-Voltage Load Shedding
There have been multiple large-scale power outages caused by voltage instability internationally since the 1970s. Under-voltage load shedding has been widely applied in power systems as an emergency control measure in the third line of defense against power system collapse. Currently, there are two commonly used control schemes: distributed control scheme and centralized control scheme. The former is widely used domestically, while both are used abroad. This paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the two control schemes in detail, points out the risks of incorrect operation or failure to operate under special operating conditions, and proposes an optimized scheme and demonstrates the implement solution.
