Research on Coordinated Control Strategy for Wind Farm Frequency Regulation and Backup Considering Wind Speed Differences
The doubly fed fan is connected through an inverter, causing the unit speed and system frequency to decouple and unable to proactively respond to frequency changes in the system. With the increase of mass wind power grid connection capacity, wind turbines should have a portion of backup capacity and be able to undertake some frequency regulation tasks. In response to this issue, this article proposes a frequency regulation reserve capacity allocation strategy for doubly fed wind farms, prioritizing the use of low wind speed units to provide frequency regulation reserve capacity, ensuring the utilization of wind energy. Usually, only a portion of the wind turbines need to be controlled, simplifying the complexity of control. The simulation proved that the proposed strategy enables the wind farms to meet load reduction and backup requirements while ensuring wind energy utilization efficiency; When load disturbances occur, it can quickly provide active power and improve the frequency characteristics of the system.
