Simulation of Dynamic Radar Echo from Wind Turbine Array Based on 3D Scattering Point Algorithm
Simulating the dynamic radar echo from the wind turbine array plays an important role in improving the anti-interference ability of radar. However, the traditional methods can hardly accurately simulate the dynamic radar echo from a wind turbine array composed of more than 4 wind turbines, which cannot meet the requirement. In that case, this paper introduced the 3D scattering point algorithm combined with a new way of considering the electromagnetic coupling effect and realized the simulation from the wind turbine array. Taking the GW 77/1500 wind turbine array as an example, the dynamic radar echoes from 1–8 wind turbines are simulated, in which the radar echo from 2 wind turbines is analyzed and compared with the traditional methods. The results show that the proposed algorithm can improve the accuracy of the simulation by over 7 % more than the scattering point integral algorithm, and the Doppler characteristic is better consistent with the experimental results.
