Artificial Neural Networks for Personalized Lower Limb Prosthetic Socket Design: A Proof of Concept
Prosthetic design has been developing over the course of the entire human history; with different techniques and technologies being integrated in the process. With the current rapid evolution of machine learning techniques, namely artificial neural networks, an opportunity emerges to further elevate the entire design process, making it faster and more accurate. This study used an innovative measurement approach as well as utilizing a machine learning algorithm namely artificial neural network, which resulted in dimensions with an average of 98.72% accuracy.
