Engineering Design of Triangle-Connected High-Voltage Cascaded Energy Storage System
To accelerate the development of renewable energy sources, China plans to construct over 450 million kilowatts of renewable energy capacity in desert areas during the 14th and 15th Five-Year Plans. With the evolving power grid, energy storage systems face heightened demands in terms of energy conversion efficiency, power capacity, and other aspects. The high-voltage cascaded energy storage system has emerged as a promising solution, offering advantages such as high cycle efficiency and substantial individual capacity. This article focuses on the design of a triangle-connected high-voltage cascaded battery energy storage system. It covers aspects such as battery installed capacity, topology structure, and equipment parameters. Finally, a simulation model based on engineering case is developed to validate the correctness of the engineering design.
