Optimization for Photovoltaic-Charging-Storage Microgrids Serving as Backup Power Sources for Commercial and Industrial Load Centers
Commercial and industrial load center are usually equipped with diesel generators or fixed energy storage as backup power sources, which present issues such as environmental pollution, noise pollution, and low asset utilization rates. The study explores the use of Photovoltaic-Charging-Storage Microgrids (PCSM) as backup power for commercial and industrial load centers and investigates the optimization scheduling methods for PCSM in this context. An optimization scheduling model for ensuring power supply at commercial and industrial load centers is established, aiming for the lowest operational cost of the PCSM, with the constraints considering the reserved discharge capacity of the energy storage system when used as backup power. A case study shows the effectiveness of the established model and the optimization results between the PCSM acting as backup power and without acting as backup power are compared.
