Passive Multi-Function Optical Sensor Systems Based on Power-Over-Fiber
Electric power cable-based energy and information co-transmission is an important topic. This paper investigates energy and information co-transmission through optical cables and develops a set of equipment based on electric power cable for such transmission. According to the research findings, the device meets all specified criteria after testing. Moreover, in the application scenario of online monitoring of transmission lines, utilizing the energy and information co-transmission technology of electric power cables enables detection of micro-meteorological conditions and images of overhead line pylons.
