O SUICÍDIO COMO FUGA DO EXISTIR: A PORTA DE SAÍDA QUE NINGUÉM MAIS VÊ

Suicide still represents a stigma for society and discussion on the topic tends to be avoided in family and social circles because it is believed that talking about suicide can encourage the practice. Anyone who presents suicidal behavior ends up being the target of insensitive or humiliating comments, including from family members, friends, and health professionals. Given this, one may ask: How to welcome a person in an existential crisis? Who to turn to? What should professional care be like for patients who have attempted suicide? The present study deals with the need to talk about the topic of suicide, discuss the management of attempted patients and their families, as well as discuss speeches in relation to self-destructive behaviors, and even with regard to recovery after fateful acts.
