DA EXECUÇÃO DA PENA A REINSERÇÃO SOCIAL: O IMPACTO DAS APACS NA DIGNIDADE DA PESSOA HUMANA E NA REINCIDÊNCIA

This work aims to investigate the relationship between the execution of the sentence and the rehabilitation of incarcerated individuals, with special attention to the practices and results of APAC (Association for the Protection and Assistance of Convicts). In a context where the Brazilian prison system faces a crisis of effectiveness and respect for human rights, APACs stand out as an innovative alternative that prioritizes humanized treatment and the social reintegration of those recovering. The research will analyze how rehabilitation programs and restorative justice measures implemented in APAC influence recidivism rates, as well as the perception of those recovering about these initiatives. The methodology will include site visits, and professionals who work in APAC, seeking to collect qualitative data that allows understanding the effectiveness of the approaches adopted. By exploring these aspects, the study aims not only to contribute to the academic debate on rehabilitation in the prison system, but also to offer valuable insights for the improvement of penitentiary practices, reaffirming the importance of human dignity in the execution of sentences.
