Biomechanical Comparison Of Titanium And Titanium-Zirconium Framework Materials In All-On-Four Implant-Supported Prostheses - A Three-Dimensional Finite Element Analysis Study

on Four implant supported prosthesis using Ti-Zr Implants. Methodology: A computerized tomography of the edentulous mandible was used to achieve the finite element model of the bone. Two models having Group A: Titanium framework and Group B: T-Z framework, were compared in an All on Four implant supported prosthesis with T-Z implants. A Compressive load of 100N was applied and the stress distribution was evaluated at the connection between implant and bar and the bending of the bar was also evaluated. Results: Both Titanium and T-Z Framework exhibit minimal total deformation under load testing, with the Titanium Framework showing slightly less deformation. Minor difference in total deformation values suggests that both frameworks offer high strength and durability for supporting dental implants and prosthetics. Conclusion: The T-Z Framework performs nearly equivalently to the current gold standard Titanium Framework in terms of mechanical deformation properties. This supports the potential viability of the T-Z Framework as an alternative option for durable dental implants and restorations.
