IMPACTO DA VIOLÊNCIA CONTRA MULHER NO PERÍODO DA COVID-19
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on violence against women. During the period of social isolation and restrictions, many countries reported na increase in cases of domestic violence. Factors such as economic stress, insecurity and forced coexistence with abusers influenced this increase. Additionally, access to support services such as housing and psychological support was difficult and many emergency services were overwhelmed. Human rights and feminist organizations have warned of the need for effective policies and adequate resources to face this crisis. The phenomenon has become “the shadow of the pandemic”, highlighting the urgency of combating gender-based violence in crisis contexts.
