PEOPLE IN CRISIS OF HOMELESSNESS IN THE LABOUR MARKET

Work and unemployment of people in the crisis of homelessness are scientifically difficult problems to study. So-cial policy towards homeless people focuses on support through the social welfare system. Its main goal is a social inclusion, strengthening the position of individuals and families, overcoming difficult life situations and pro-tection, but there is a lack of support in obtaining (returning) and maintaining employment. The aim of the paper is to identify the situation of people experiencing homelessness on the labor market. During individual in-depth inter-views, it was found that they use the offer of employment offices primarily to obtain health insurance. If they de-cide to take part in professional activation programs, they do so in order to maintain the right to benefits or insur-ance. They consider the training offered by officials to be useless and uninteresting. At the same time, they rec-ognize that experiencing homelessness does not exclude taking up work.
