On the rigidity of uniformly rotating vortex patch near the Rankine vortex

Abstract The uniformly rotating vortex patch solutions(also known as V-states) are a class of important periodic solutions for the 2D incompressible Euler equations. In this paper, we perform the bifurcation analysis and give a rigidity result of the V-states near the Rankine vortex in some weak topology.
