David Hare – screenwriter: recognition of the playwright's idiosyncrasy in related genres
The purpose of the study is to search for a certain "reading code" of deep text–generating dominants and constants in the works of D. Hare using a comprehensive analysis of the script for the mini-series "Collateral" and the text of the play "Stuff Happens". The article examines the peculiarities of the functioning of the idiosyncrasy of a modern English playwright and screenwriter, who raises topical issues of politics and the world order in his works. The scientific novelty is due to the little-studied nature of the proposed material. The article presents for the first time a comprehensive characterization of D. Hare 's idiosyncrasy. The proposed approach can be applied in the analysis of the work of modern playwrights. A new concept is also one that asserts the presence of a number of features of Hare's style inherent in his diverse works. The main ways of representing political realities in D. Hare 's work are also revealed, which contributes to understanding the characteristic features and ideological orientation of works of political drama and related genres. The results of the study show that behind the wide "range of speech transformations" of the creative personality, D. Hare can be seen as the "structure-forming core" of his works, which consists in using certain ways of conveying characteristics of characters, focalization and ideological orientation, which help the author in uncovering the main conflict.
