To date, only a few works have been written regarding the functioning of foreign formations in the French army, but these are mostly general studies. The service of Poles in foreign units of the Napoleonic army is one of the lesser-known research issues. Based on French archives, this article attempts to present the service of Poles in the Prussian Regiment, established by Napoleon in the autumn of 1806. However, the archival material is incomplete, and it was not possible to determine the exact number of Poles serving in this unit between 1806–1813.
