Szpital Garnizonowy w Zielonej Górze (1946–1948)
The hospital was initially formed in the summer of 1944 in Zamość as the 14th Mobile Field Hospital of the 3rd Polish Army. In November 1944, it was incorporated into the 1st AWP and renamed as the 38th Field Evacuation Hospital. At the beginning of 1945 the unit joined the war effort and was moved to Bydgoszcz, then Chełmno. In September 1945, it was transformed into a Garrison Hospital, and in May 1946 was moved to Zielona Góra. In July 1946, an Officers’ Holiday Home was also established in the city. The hospital was decommissioned in the spring of 1948, and a Military Holiday Home was established in its place, which was disbanded in November 1948.
