Archiwum Wojskowe w Oleśnicy – historia i kształtowanie zasobu

The article presents the history, resources, main tasks and activities of the Military Archive in Oleśnica (Archiwum Wojskowe w Oleśnicy, AWO). This archive is part of the military archival network subordinate to the Central Military Archive of the Military Historical Office (Centralne Archiwum Wojskowe Wojskowego Biura Historycznego). Its rich resources, mainly including records of the Polish People’s Army after 1956 and contemporary military documentation, are relatively poorly known. The article is intended to fill this gap and help potential users plan potential research in AWO.
