The advancement of technology and the expansion of social networks have significantly transformed social interactions, providing new forms of communication, but also creating challenges and problems, such as cyber bullying. This phenomenon has proven to be a growing concern due to its devastating impact on victims, which can include anything from emotional and psychological damage to extreme cases of suicide. Understanding the legal consequences of cyberbullying is essential for the development of effective public policies, the protection of victims, and the proper accountability of perpetrators. Cyberbullying is a growing phenomenon that profoundly affects the lives of individuals, especially children and adolescents, who are the most vulnerable groups to this type of violence. In Brazil, the popularization of social networks and the increase in the use of the internet have exposed a significant portion of the population to the risks associated with cyberbullying. The social relevance of this topic is anchored in the urgent need to understand and address this problem effectively, ensuring the protection and well-being of victims. In summary, the present research is justified by the social relevance of cyberbullying and the need for effective responses both in the legal field and in the development of public policies. The expected contributions include the improvement of legislation, support for victims and theoretical advancement on the subject, positioning the research as an important step in the development of a safer and fairer digital environment.
