REMOTE ACADEMIC EDUCATION DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC IN THE OPINION OF STUDENTS

The article presents an assessment of the quality and effectiveness of distance academic education during the COVID-19 pandemic (2020–2021) by students, mainly of humanities and social sciences. The students' assessment of the education process is presented, including teachers' preparation to conduct remote classes, the use of various forms of classes in education and their adaptation to the specificity of classes (lectures, classes, seminars). The assessment of remote tests and exams in the aspect of objective verification of learning outcomes was also presented. The analysis was based on quantitative desk research conducted among students at several public and private universities and on the results of other published studies. Students' opinions on distance learning vary widely, half of them rate remote studies worse than stationary studies, some do not see much difference between them, and the least rate remote studies better than stationary ones.
