Characterization of crystal quartz for QPM wavelength-conversion device

Crystal quartz can be expected for material of intense-laser pumped wavelength conversion, by construction of periodically inverted structure for quasi phase matching. Transmission characteristics in VUV and MIR were measured for comparison of various quartz. Also, QPM-structured quartz constructed by multi stacking method was evaluated in ultraviolet 266 nm generation scheme. QPM quartz by multi stacking method is expected for intense-laser pumped THz-wave generation.

Abstract

Crystal quartz can be expected for material of intense-laser pumped wavelength conversion, by construction of periodically inverted structure for quasi phase matching. Transmission characteristics in VUV and MIR were measured for comparison of various quartz. Also, QPM-structured quartz constructed by multi stacking method was evaluated in ultraviolet 266 nm generation scheme. QPM quartz by multi stacking method is expected for intense-laser pumped THz-wave generation.
