Cover Feature: Supramolecular J‐ and H‐Aggregation of Naphthalimide‐Conjugated Dipeptide in Mixed‐Solvent Systems and its Application in Cell Imaging (Chem. Asian J. 22/2024)
Solvent plays an important role in the hierarchical self-assembly process. Here, resultant solvent polarity in a mixed solvent system guides the supramolecular self-assembly pattern of a core-substituted naphthalimide-conjugated dipeptide (4MNLV) molecule. Dilution of the stock solution with a more polar bad solvent leads to a J-type aggregation whereas, dilution by a less polar bad solvent helps the system to adopt an H-type aggregation pattern.
