This research aims to delve deeply into the audience reception of the Chinese original web animation “Yao-Chinese Folktales”, and to uncover the core topics explored in the work as well as the primary concerns of the viewers by analyzing audience comment data. Employing the LDA-Word2Vec topic modeling method, this study conducted an excavation and analysis of audience comment data, effectively obtaining topic vectors that encompass contextual semantic information. The research findings indicate that the core topics of concern for the audience can be summarized into seven main categories:”enthusiastic support and praise”, “exploration of demon and Journey to the West elements”,”heroic sentiment and nostalgia”, etc. Notably, the first episode, “A Little Demon's Summer”, has become a focal point of discussion due to its compact and captivating plot, vivid character portrayal, and profound real-world implications.
