Dual-Polarized RIS-Assisted Secure Integrated Sensing and Communication Systems
This paper delves into the realm of dual-polarized reconfigurable intelligent surface (DP-RIS)-assisted secure integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) systems, leveraging the radar sensing signal as the interference to disturb the potential eavesdropper. A joint optimization problem for the transmit beamforming and sensing covariance matrices of the base station (BS), and phase shift matrix of the RIS is formulated in order to maximize the achievable secrecy sum rate (ASSR). The non-convex problem is decomposed into two sub-problems, which are solved iteratively utilizing successive convex approximation and semi-definite programming methods. Simulation results show that the proposed DP scheme achieves significantly superior ASSR compared to the single-polarized (SP) scheme, all while satisfying the performance requirement for multi-target detection.
