ATUAÇÃO DO ENFERMEIRO E SUAS DIFICULDADES
This study analyzes the challenges faced by nurses in their professional practice, focusing on workload, mental health, and interprofessional integration. The research employs a systematic review of the literature, alongside data collected in healthcare settings, to identify key factors that compromise care quality and the well-being of professionals. Highlighted challenges include the high prevalence of Burnout, insufficient human and material resources, and difficulties in communication and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams. These factors directly impact patient safety and the efficiency of healthcare services. The results revealed that workload overload is a critical issue associated with increased care errors and the deterioration of nurses' physical and mental health. Additionally, the lack of emotional support and the absence of effective institutional policies exacerbate negative outcomes. Conversely, strategies such as implementing continuing education programs, psychological support, and professional appreciation policies proved effective in mitigating these challenges. Structured interprofessional collaboration also emerged as an essential tool to improve care quality and foster healthier work environments. In conclusion, strengthening working conditions, valuing nurses, and promoting collaborative practices are crucial for sustaining the profession and enhancing healthcare services. This study contributes to the literature by proposing practical and feasible solutions adaptable to various institutional realities, emphasizing safer, more efficient, and humanized care.
