Effect of Agglomeration of Nanoparticles in Ferrofluid Induced by a Focused Laser Beam
In the work, we discovered and investigated a number of phenomena associated with the influence of laser radiation on nanoparticles of ferrofluid (a colloidal material, the solid magnetically ordered phase of which is magnetite). It was found that the optical force acting on nanoparticles from the area of the focused light leads to the formation of various structures in the sediment of this substance when it is deposited on a substrate. These or similar phenomena can play an important role in various photonics devices.
