Growing of Biomolecular Micro Particles and Surface Films with Ultrasound Activation of Solution
This study introduces an innovative ultrasonic spraying technique for the rapid formation of both biomolecular microparticle beams in the atmospheric pressure air, and films on various substrates. By deploying amino acid solutions at atmospheric pressure and ambient temperatures, we achieved the deposition of microparticles forming structured films with diverse morphologies, such as compact rings and microcrystalline pellets. These particles were observed on a substrate in kind of ring and pellets structures with an average size of approximately 100 micrometers, which demonstrated potential features for high number internal degrees of freedom and spatial-energetic states. The application of this technology spans biomedicine, microelectronics, and nanophotonics, where precise biomolecular assemblies are crucial. Initial results suggest that these biomolecular films could also serve as biofunctional and electromagnetic components in advanced nanostructured materials, paving the way for new integrative approaches in hybrid microelectronics and photonics.
