Methodology for characterizing the aging of a PEMFC based on a real-life usage database

This article proposes a methodology to estimate the aging of a PEMFC with the associated weight of degradation mechanisms. The methodology is based on database of measure campaigns lasting hundreds of hours each. The first step was to identify the main degradation mechanisms from the literature. The second step is to estimate the voltage degradation in each scenario. Finally, the objective is to extract the weight of each identified degradation mechanism in the aging. The article ends on the validation of the coefficients thanks to a different profile test.
