Design of a Class E Power Amplifier with Complex Impedance Load

A complex load class-E power amplifier (PA) analysis of optimal voltage and current waveforms and matching network algorithm are presented and verified by simulation in the time and frequency domain with 50% duty ratio. The designed PA exhibits high-efficiency characteristics of 89% drain efficiency.

Abstract

A complex load class-E power amplifier (PA) analysis of optimal voltage and current waveforms and matching network algorithm are presented and verified by simulation in the time and frequency domain with 50% duty ratio. The designed PA exhibits high-efficiency characteristics of 89% drain efficiency.
