Estimation of Signal Distortion in Industrial Scenario
Signal propagation in industrial scenario is characterized by strong reflections from metallic surfaces which causes multipath fading. This is generally means complex signal processing at receiver side which limits battery life of industrial devices. In this work it is proposed to consider propagation of single-frequency signals at warehouse using different pulse shapes and estimate signal distortion. It is shown that application of smoother pulse shapes leads to lower level of signal distortion in industrial scenario. Switching from rectangular pulse shape to half wave sine to the tenth power gives maximum error vector magnitude about 12% instead of 82%.
