Study on One-Component Silicone Rubber-Based Repair Agent for High Voltage Cable Buffer Layer Faults
High-voltage cables are among the core equipment of the urban power grid. In recent years, the buffer layer ablation faults (BLF) of HV cable have occurred frequently. In order to repair the ablation defects of HV cables, the one-component silicone rubber-based repair agent was prepared in this paper, and the repair effectiveness and mechanism of the repair agent were investigated through the simulated ablation experiments of real cables, combined with finite element simulation. The results shown that volume resistivity of the restored buffer layer satisfied the requirements of the industry standard, and the cable injected with the repair agent did not show ablation characteristics after simulated ablation. The repair agent effectively improved the current concentration in the buffer layer. The maximum current density in the buffer layer reduced from 40.40 A/m2 to 0.05 A/m2. The results of this paper are of great significance in the repair of BLF in the buffer layer of high voltage cables.
