The Influence of the Tips Geometry on the Formation of Electron Velocities in the Electron Flow
Field emitters are advantageous in vacuum electron beam devices due to their lack of heating requirements. The study focuses on the impact of tip geometry on electron beam velocities and emission characteristics. It examines how the height of the tip, the radius of curvature, and the number of tips in multitip cathodes affect the spatial distribution of longitudinal and transverse electron velocities. These factors are crucial for optimizing the performance of electron beam devices, where precise control over electron beam characteristics is essential for efficiency and functionality.
