AI-Driven Automated Measurement of Abdominal Aorta Diameter in CT Scan Images

Accurately measuring the abdominal aorta’s diameter is crucial for the early detection and management of vascular conditions, such as aneurysms. Traditional manual methods using abdominal CT scan images are often inefficient and subject to variability. This work explores the use of artificial intelligence (AI) techniques in image processing to automate and improve the measurement of the abdominal aorta. Utilizing deep learning models and convolutional neural networks, the study develops an AI-based system that can precisely identify and measure the aorta in CT scans. The results show that the AI-driven approach not only speeds up the process but also preserves high accuracy, highlighting its potential for clinical use. This research illustrates the transformative power of $A I$ in medical imaging and its ability to enhance diagnostic accuracy and efficiency.
