Multi-Physical Quantity Detection of Buffer Layer Ablation under Air Gap Discharge Condition

In recent years, high-voltage cable breakdown accidents caused by the ablation of the buffer layer occur frequently, which seriously affect the safety and stability of the power grid. By studying the process of the ablation of the buffer layer, the characteristic parameters of the ablation of the buffer layer under the condition of air gap discharge are detected, including the ultrasonic signal, electrical signal and thermal signal generated by the ablation. The results of this study are of great significance for discovering the ablation phenomenon in the buffer layer, so as to ensure the safety of power cables.

Abstract

In recent years, high-voltage cable breakdown accidents caused by the ablation of the buffer layer occur frequently, which seriously affect the safety and stability of the power grid. By studying the process of the ablation of the buffer layer, the characteristic parameters of the ablation of the buffer layer under the condition of air gap discharge are detected, including the ultrasonic signal, electrical signal and thermal signal generated by the ablation. The results of this study are of great significance for discovering the ablation phenomenon in the buffer layer, so as to ensure the safety of power cables.
