Hardware-Software Prototyping of a Multichannel Frequency-Modulated Continuous Wave Radar

A hardware and software module of the FMCW radar based on the AWR1243BOOST prototyping board from Texas Instruments has been developed and implemented. It allows implementing the full range of functions of the AWR1243 radar chip. The results of experimental testing of the radar for measuring the range, speed and angle of the target are presented, confirming the possibility of creating prototypes of modern FMCW radars.

Abstract

A hardware and software module of the FMCW radar based on the AWR1243BOOST prototyping board from Texas Instruments has been developed and implemented. It allows implementing the full range of functions of the AWR1243 radar chip. The results of experimental testing of the radar for measuring the range, speed and angle of the target are presented, confirming the possibility of creating prototypes of modern FMCW radars.
