Stability Analysis for CPS-PWM-based Modular Multilevel Converters with Reduced Voltage sensor
Modular Multilevel Converters (MMCs), which employ a matrix construction technique to reduce the number of voltage sensors, can significantly decrease hardware costs and communication burden. However, due to the occurrence of low probability singular matrices, it is not possible to effectively solve the capacitor voltage of submodule (SM), which leads to a decrease in system performance. To analyze the influence of singular matrices, this paper first analyzes the principle of constructing singular matrices and the probability of singular matrix occurrence. Then, a capacitor voltage control model for the MMC system was established. Simulation have verified the accuracy of the model and the impact of different probability singular matrices on system stability.
