Value-Based Pricing for Innovations: A Model for Determining and Optimizing Customer-Oriented Prices for Active Balancing Systems
This paper presents a value-based pricing (VBP) model suitable for quantifying the worth of new value propositions, with a specific focus on Active Balancing (AB) Systems. The model integrates qualitative market research methods to gather key figures and insights from potential buyers, facilitating the derivation of value-based prices and target markets. Triangulation across different pricing methods ensures mutual validation, enhancing reliability. The co-creation aspect ensures that prices are evaluated for fairness by potential buyers. Additionally, the VBP model includes a target costing process, allowing for the adjustment of manufacturing costs. This comprehensive approach ensures that the pricing strategy is both customer-oriented and market-realistic.
