An Isolated Three-Phase DC-DC Converter Based on Hybridge Rectifier for Off-Board EV Chargers
This article introduces a novel isolated pulse width modulation (PWM) DC-DC converter for potential use in off-board electric vehicle (EV) chargers. The converter offers a wide output voltage range while maintaining lower voltage stress on the high-frequency rectifier semiconductors, enabling the utilization of 1.2 kV diodes. An experimental prototype rated at 30 kW is built to validate the equations and simulations performed, resulting in a maximum efficiency of 96.7%, which can be improved by optimum design.
