Phase Current Reconstruction of Five Phase Open-Winding Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine Using Single DC Bus Current Sensor
The multi-phase open-winding permanent magnet synchronous motor (OW-PMSM) has the advantages of high bus voltage utilization and good fault-tolerant performance, which are mostly used in ship propulsion equipment. However, the use of multiple current sensors reduces system stability and increases system size. There are few studies on the phase current reconstruction technology of multiphase OW-PMSM. In this paper, a five-phase current reconstruction method using a single current sensor is proposed for five-phase OW-PMSM. On the basis of traditional neighbouring four vectors - space vector pulse width modulation(NFV-SVPWM), base vectors with smaller amplitude is selected to improve the linear reconstruction range. Finally, the feasibility of the proposed method was verified through simulation.
