A Novel, Fluidically Reconfigurable Patch Antenna Utilizing Conductive Fabrics
Over the past few years, primarily owing to the rapid rise of the Internet of Things (IoT), a constantly increasing number of devices needs to communicate wirelessly, oftentimes in more than one band. Towards that goal, reconfigurable antennas enjoy a surge in popularity, even though their implementation might be complex. In this work, we propose a new, cost-effective solution using a liquid dielectric to vary the response of a patch antenna made from conductive textiles.
