Interface effect on antisymmetric exchange interaction in nanostructures

The work is dedicated to the study of the peculiarities of spin wave dispersion in metallic magnetic nanostructures of heavy metal/ferromagnet based on PtCo compounds using Mandelstam-Brillouin light scattering techniques. Structural and magnetic characterization of the obtained thin-film nanostructures has been conducted and estimates of the magnitude of the Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya antisymmetric exchange interaction have been made for samples with different magnetic layer parameters. It has been shown that the introduction of an atomically ordered layer of PtCo alloy into the nanostructure allows for effective modeling of the Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction strength, as well as the width of the spin-wave resonance line as shown from the Brillouin light scattering spectra. The results can be utilized for the creation of thin-film materials promising for research either in the fields of magnonics or topological magnetism.
