IMPLEMENTATION OF ECOLOGICAL JUSTICE IN TOURISM VILLAGE MANAGEMENT TO REALIZE SUSTAINABLE TOURISM DEVELOPMENT
Tourism village management has an important role in supporting sustainable development, especially in rural areas that are rich in biodiversity and natural resource potential. One concept that needs to be applied in tourism village management is ecological justice, which emphasizes equal access to natural resources and shared responsibility in maintaining ecosystem balance. The implementation of ecological justice aims to ensure that the benefits of tourism village management can be enjoyed by all parties, including local communities, without damaging the natural environment. This study aims to analyze how ecological justice can be integrated into tourism village management and identify the challenges and opportunities faced. Through a qualitative approach, this study explores strategies and policies that support environmental sustainability and the welfare of local communities in tourism villages. The results of the study indicate that a participatory approach, environmental education, and policies based on local wisdom are very important in realizing ecological justice. Thus, the application of ecological justice in tourism village management can be a model of sustainable development, which not only focuses on economic aspects, but also considers ecological and social balance.
