Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the Education Management Model Based on Character Training to Improve the Teachers’ Work Performance in State High School Teachers in Deli Serdang Regency

Objective: The purpose of the study was to create a sustainable development goals for: (1) a character training management model that is suitable for use in high school teachers; (2) a character training management model that is practically used in high school teachers; and (3) an effective character training management model used in State High School teachers in Deli Serdang Regency. Theoretical Framework: This research employed the theory of character development, teachers’ work performance, and character education learning planning. Method: The research uses a research and development approach. The research sample was 150 State High School teachers in Deli Serdang Regency. Results and Discussion: The results of the study showed: (1) there was an improvement in the performance of State High School teachers in Deli Serdang Negeri Regency through character training for Pancasila student profiles; (2) through the character training of Pancasila student profiles has an impact on improving teacher performance in the following components: learning design by 42.05%; learning implementation by 29.74%; and assessing learning outcomes by 59.49%; (3) the N-Gain Score value was obtained with a value of g 0.79 > 0.7; the product produced was 79.08% with the effective category. Research Implications: The model for improving the performance of State High School teachers in Deli Serdang Regency as found with the role of each Provincial Education Office, Supervisors, Principals, and Teaching Staff. The Provincial Education Office carries out coaching and supervision of school principals and supervisors once a month through face-to-face and utilizing telephone and Whatsapp media. Originality/Value: This study contributes to the literature by implementing the Pancasila Student Profile Character training management model has proven to be effective and efficient to improve the performance of State High School teachers in Deli Serdang Regency.
