Synchoronous Mechanism for LoRaWAN Relay

In this research, we present a proposed synchronous mechanism for LoRaWAN Relay. The primary objective of this mechanism is to enhance the number of end-devices that can be covered by the Relay while simultaneously optimizing the power consumption of the Relay. To assess its effectiveness, the proposed mechanism was evaluated and compared with the LoRaWAN Relay Specification TS011-1.0.0 released by Semtech. The comparison focused on several key parameters: the maximum number of end-devices supported, power consumption levels, and the possibility of packet loss. Through this evaluation, we aim to demonstrate the potential improvements in coverage and energy efficiency offered by our proposed mechanism, thereby contributing to more efficient and scalable LoRaWAN deployments.
